I love Jenn Echols! I have read all of her books and will review them all on here at some point, but this is her latest. It came out July 20th and I am ashamed it took me this long to purchase it.

Forget You is a YA contemporary romance filled with the usual Echols elements:

  • amazing and believable relationships
  • miscommunication
  • relatable characters
  • humorous situations that make you laugh out loud
  • embarrassing situations that make you squirm
  • and love scenes that make you sigh

Zoey is the good girl who always takes care of everyone–that is until she is the one who needs to be taken care of. Her father leaves her mom for his young knocked-up mistress, her mother tries to kill herself on sleeping pills, and Zoey ends up in a car accident and can’t remember how it happened . . . or what happened right before it.

I know what you’re thinking–it sounds like a soap opera, right? But this isn’t your usual case of amnesia. She hasn’t lost her complete memory, just certain parts: What happened with Brandon, her football player boyfriend? Why is Doug, who’d always avoided her and treated her with contempt, suddenly acting like they are together? And where was she going at 2 am when the accident happened?

The reader gets to unravel the mystery and answers to these questions, along with falling in love with Doug, with Zoey. No, I don’t think that is a huge spoiler as it is clearly Doug on the cover and this is a romance here, people. But I’ll leave the rest for you to discover on your own.
