WIP Wednesday: All Nighters and Linkapalooza Continues

Wow, what a week . . . and it’s only half over!  I have gotten a lot done with my work in progress, thanks to the kick in the butt that is NaNo.  I’ve met some wonderful writers on Twitter and have enjoyed talking back forth, even at 4 am!  And of course, I celebrated Halloween with the two most beautiful girls in the world–one “Pretty Witch” and one “Super Girl” to be exact.

Now, onto this week’s stats (and make sure you hang around to the end where there is another huge list of my favorite inspirational posts of the day!):

Current Word Count: 44,848! I met all my goals this week, even though I had to pull an all nighter last night to accomplish it 🙂

Little Hints: Batting Cages.  I have a scene at a batting cage and completely forgot to schedule my date to one in advance.  Luckily with the help of Twitter, Facebook and AOL IM, I got an immediate crash course in an hour and feel as though I’ve been slugging away (okay, I am going on no sleep right now and am feeling pretty corny, please bare with me)

Soundtrack Song of the Week: I’d Lie by Taylor Swift. Apparently she does not have an official video for this song, so this is a fan made one, but you can still hear the song.  It is such a simple, honest story about a girl in love with her best friend who is totally clueless.  Fits my YA story perfectly 🙂

(As always, email subscribers click through on the link to watch it on my blog since it doesn’t want to include itself in emails, grr

Writing or Editing Trick Used This Week That Worked Particularly Well: Ha, honestly?  Pulling an all nighter!  It took my five hours to write 500 words yesterday.  To be fair to my girls, it was raining and they were bored but goodness.  By staying up last night, that scene not only got written, but it is one of my favorites!!  I also wrote an additional scene, and am very happy.

Personal High: Actually meeting my goals this week!  WOOT!

Personal Low: Yesterday was the first day I was ever that stuck in my writing.  That was frustrating and crazy and I am sure it’ll happen again, but it was NOT fun!

Writing Goal For the Coming Week: By next Wednesday, I plan to have 6 more scenes completed.

NOW FOR LINKAPALOOZA!!

What about you? What are your goals for the week? Anything particularly work — OR not work– this week?

HAPPY WRITING!
