Life is good. Did you know that?
In life, it’s easy to be consumed with the stress, drama, and setbacks life throws your way, instead of focusing on the bazillion blessings it gives. Publishing can be the same way. Our calendars are filled with deadlines to meet and posts to write, ARCs to give away, and events to plan.
If you’re a debut author like I am, you’re also learning the business in the middle of all of this, like terms such as street team, and trying to figure out the best use of your swag budget, and organizing blog tours and praying people want to be involved. Then come ARCs and actual people reading your baby and the enormous fear that steals over you, hoping that people see the same things you did when you fell in love with the idea.
It’s scary and thrilling, exciting and terrifying.
It’s being an author.
And if you’re like me, a newbie author where every experience is brand new.
Unless you hang out on Twitter, where I practically live, things might’ve seemed quiet and chill lately. Trust me, it’s not. I have upcoming blog tours and a brand new stream team, a newsletter that is officially in service (woot!), and swag going out in the mail daily. I’m writing guest posts for the tours and answering interviews, gathering embarrassing high school photos and dredging up memories for a future Dear Teen Me post…..and loving every moment of it.
So, to make sure you awesome peeps know what’s coming, I thought I’d check in and give you all the details on what you can be looking forward to:
- The My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century Blog Tour, hosted by Shane over at Itching for Books kicks off MONDAY, August 20th – FRIDAY, August, 31st. The full schedule of reviews, entertaining guest posts and completely intriguing interviews can be found HERE.
- The official Entangled Teen Blog Tour for My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century begins FRIDAY, September 3rd – TUESDAY, September 21st. Sixteen stops in Sixteen Days (Get it? Sixteenth Century?) I’ll be posting this schedule probably daily so you can follow along with me (*grin*)
- Learn all about Teen Rachel September 7th at Dear Teen Me. My letter to my sixteen-year-old self is about something I dealt with a lot in high school… still battle with to be honest.

And finally (for now), I want to make sure you all know about the FLIRT SQUAD, my beyond awesome Street Team. We are having so much fun AND we have lots of plans in the works to also support other YA authors with *exclusive* contests, interviews, excerpts, and giveaways! Check out THIS post to learn more and sign up!
Thank you all for making the past few weeks….the past year…so incredibly amazing. The good reviews and kind words already rolling in make me blush, grin like an idiot, and spastically dance around the room. I really can’t thank you enough for the support. Y’all are made of awesome!
