So last week pretty much rocked. I went to Toronto to visit one of my critique partners and best buds, Shannon Duffy, and hung out with my agent of awesome, Lauren Hammond, all weekend. We went to all the hotspots, rode horses, shopped til we dropped, swooned over hot movie men, and danced all night. It was a blast.
Oh, and right before I left? I saw THIS from RT Book Reviews Magazine:
Harris’ debut is a knockout. Her characters are charming and wonderfully entertaining, and they’re set in a unique and well-defined world that will capture your imagination from the very first page.
This was coupled with their rating of 4 1/2 stars, which means “FANTASTIC–Keeper” and is pretty much as high as they go. They do have a 5 star rating, but bestowing that is a rare day indeed.
So, needless to say, I freaking screamed. True story. I screamed and then screamed again, and my kids were first scared (my poor babies) and then laughed at me (but that actually happens a lot), but it was all worth it. A very, very happy surprise indeed =)
